Welcome to the 'Official' Fanlisting for the incredible movie Cider House Rules, starring Tobey Maquire, Charlize Theron,Michael Caine and Paul Rudd. What is a fanlisting you ask? Well, it is a group of "fans" who want to show their support for one particular subject, from movies, music, celebrities and television shows to food, books and authors. ::About the movie::
An Academy Award winning movie (Best Supporting Actor, Michael Caine and Best Adapted Screenplay, John Irving), Cider House Rules, (1999) is the story of a young man's journey to find himself. Homer Wells has lived nearly all of his life at St. Cloud's Orphanage in Maine. Destined to be a doctor, according to Dr. Larch, Homer challenges his destiny when he leaves St. Cloud's, meets Candy and falls in love while working for a family apple orchard. There, Homer learns about life, love and the importance of going home. Certainly, my favorite movie of all time and well deserved of the raves and awards it received. If you are a Tobey fan, it is a must see, the emotions he packs into Homer's character are incredible. Michael Caine as Dr. Larch bring such joy and saddness to his character and Charlize is simply beautiful. There is a wonderful supporting cast, each actor adding their perfection of their craft to their characters.
